Club Overview

North Beach was founded in 1916 when locals in the area saw the need to offer a service on the beach by Thompson Park. Today North Beach has a strong tradition in Surf Boats and Beach events and continues to offer a friendly enviroment for all competitors in all facets of surf sports and lifeguarding 2000 & 2001 SLS Canterbury Club of the Year 2014 Canterbury / Tasman Awards of Excellence - Black and White trophy - 4 man Surf relay team at K-Day 2014 Canterbury / Tasman Awards of Excellence - Top IRB Club 2017/18 - Senior Surf Boat Crew - New Zealand Representatives
