1. Eastern Region Head Guard Workshop (Supervisors and Head Guards only) - Monday 4 December 2017, venue TBC.
2. Bay of Plenty Inductions (all Regional Lifeguards) - Tuesday 5th December 2017, venue TBC
3. Coromandel Inductions (all Regional Lifeguards) - Wednesday 6th December 2017, venue TBC
4. Gisborne Inductions (all Regional Lifeguards) - Wednesday 20th December 2017, venue TBC

Whilst volunteer lifeguard services are the backbone and core point of delivery for Surf Life Saving patrols, volunteers are unable to provide beach patrols during the working week to meet the increased 7 days per week demand for beach patrols. The Regional Lifeguard Service (RLS) is a partnership programme delivered by Surf Life Saving and territorial local authorities in an attempt to protect the coastal population during the busy summer months and to supplement the volunteer weekend patrols provided by Surf Life Saving clubs.
