Course Overview

The Instructors Award - IRB certifies that the holder has the basic skills and knowledge to be an Instructor. The qualification enables members to obtain relevant theory and practical skills about instruction and teaching to be utilised when training members.

Current member of a SLS club
Senior Lifeguard Award - IRB Driver (Refreshed)
Current First Aid Level 1

Anyone interested in getting started as an instructor 

Candidate requirements

Fully participate in the Instructors Training Course and complete the workbook 
Successfully put 4 candidates through the relevant qualification

  8. Identify the roles and responsibilities of an instructor
